Carl resided in the Bullard area for the last seven years. He was the owner of Blair's Landscape Maintenance and Construction.   Carl is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Larissa and Chris Hippe of Tyler; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dolores and Ed Johnson, of Tyler and Madlyn Blair.  Carl was buried at Pleasant Retreat Cemetery in Tyler.

Funeral services for Carl "Sweety" Blair, 59, of Bullard, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at the First Baptist Church, Gresham, with the Rev. Roy Thoene officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Retreat Cemetery, Tyler, under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Carl "Sweety" Blair was born Oct. 20, 1952, in New Orleans, to Jimmy Nathaniel and Hazel Blair. He had resided in the Bullard area for the past seven years. He was the owner of Blair's Landscape Maintenance and Construction. He was an avid sportsman and loved all outdoor sports. He was a founding member of Cossack M.C. and a member of the First Baptist Church, Gresham.

Carl "Sweety" Blair went to be with his Lord and Savior on Jan. 12, 2012, at his residence.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Larissa and Chris Hippe of Tyler; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dolores and Ed Johnson, of Tyler, and Madlyn Blair; two grandchildren, Taylor Ann Baker and Jaxson Arlen Hippe, of Tyler; nieces, Amanda Warner, of Granbury and Sabrina Wright; nephews, Chet Johnson of Whitehouse and Mason Wright; numerous cousins and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Chris Hippe, Ed Johnson, Mark Zemer, Don Smith, Steve Simmons, John Wise and Chet Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Dovervitch, Earl Swift, Mike Hendrix and Pat Hendrix.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Gresham First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Boren-Conner Funeral Home and Covenant Cremations in Bullard.
